IoT Venture at Taichung Bike Week 2026: Launch of the 2Lock Integration and Track & Protect PLUS for OEMs

The Taichung Bike Week is where OEMs and suppliers set the specifications for the coming model years, in four days. From 15 to 18 September, IoT Venture is there with two product launches: the 2Lock integration and the new tracker generation Track & Protect PLUS.

Together with 2Lock, IoT Venture is combining GPS tracking and an electronic hub lock in a single system for the first time. For manufacturers, that means one component instead of two separate ones. For end users, one app. The gap between immobilising a bicycle and recovering it after theft is closed.

Alongside this, IoT Venture will present Track & Protect PLUS, the third generation of its tracker hardware and the company’s smallest and most compatible GPS tracker to date. CAN-Bus capable, developed and manufactured in Germany, it goes into series production in September 2026. In drive system integration, the solution is already in series use with Bosch, Shimano, Bafang, Ananda and Gobao.

IoT Venture is also bringing its established products to Taichung. VELOSAFE bundles GPS tracking, insurance and a mobility guarantee into a single factory-level service model, enabling end customers to save up to 80 per cent on their insurance premiums depending on their tariff. The in-house Bike Hunter recovery team has been actively tracking stolen e-bikes since 2019, now handling over 2,000 cases a year and returning three in four bikes to their owners on average. White-label apps round out the portfolio, giving manufacturers a scalable digital interface with customers after purchase.

“Taichung is where decisions get made about what ends up on bikes. And something is shifting right now. Connectivity is moving out of accessories and into the bill of materials. We provide the basis for that, as standalone hardware, as IoT integrated into existing components, or as a platform where data from other systems come together,” says Mario Petters, COO and Managing Director of IoT Venture GmbH.
