28 June 2018: IoT Venture GmbH at the NB-IoT Seminar

The functionality and extensive capabilities of the new narrowband network Narrowband IoT are the subject of the seminar “NB-IoT – Increasing Productivity” held on June 28, 2018 at Hub:raum Berlin. From 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Thomas Ullmann, Chief Technology Officer of IoT Venture GmbH, will present on concrete applications in building management and as a search and find solution for e-bikes. Felix Letkemann, software architect, will give a complementary report on initial practical experiences with the NB-IoT transmission standard, accompanied by a live demo.

The startup IoT Venture GmbH with headquarters in Darmstadt and Berlin relies on low power wide area network (LPWAN) for its products and services and particularly on NB-IoT. “The advantages of the technology are clear to see.” according to Ullmann. “This includes low energy usage, high building penetration and range, as well as low costs.” NB-IoT enables us to network things that previously couldn’t be networked for technical or economical reasons, Ullmann elaborates.

The seminar is hosted by the Deutsche Telekom in cooperation with Quectel, Rhode & Schwarz, and tekmodul. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. It brings together experts from the fields of networking, cloud connectivity, M2M modules, measuring technology, and antenna design.  Hub:raum is the incubator of the Deutsche Telekom in Berlin. Registration and further information on the event can be found at www.tekmodul.de.
